Shape and concept
For the design of our Trace the Sound bandstand we chose an organic shape, inspired by the shape of the park. The outline of the park can be seen in the front view of the bandstand. We wanted to create a contemporary structure, yet connect it somehow to War Memorial Park and design it specifically for the park. We have also discovered that the organic shape reminds of the poppy flower, which we connect with the history and the reason why War Memorial Park was built.
