Coventry Becomes First Modern University to Feature in the ‘Table of Tables’

Coventry University is the top-placed – and the only – modern university in a newly-published league table combining the performances of UK higher education institutions across all the major rankings.

The Times Higher Education magazine’s ‘table of tables’ for UK unis – which ranks the country’s top 30 based on results from the Guardian University Guide, the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide and the Complete University Guide – places Coventry 23rd overall.

A new entry for 2016 in the THE’s annual table, Coventry University becomes the only post-1992 institution ever to feature in the list.

It follows strong performances in each of the UK’s three main domestic university rankings – including an unprecedented top 15 placing in the Guardian guide – and in the National Student Survey 2015, in which students voted Coventry to top spot for personal development.

Vice-Chancellor John Latham said: ‘This is an outstanding result for us. It’s down to your consistent hard work and passion to keep driving the institution forward. We’re making history with these achievements and should all be very proud.’
