Coventry University’s 3rd Annual Partnership Symposium took place recently at the University Campus. Around 40 delegates from 18 international partnerships joined colleagues from the university to exchange best practice, share ideas and achievements, and further develop relationships.
In our midst, we had collaboration and progression partners from Hong Kong, Malaysia, Africa, France, Denmark, Poland, Belgium, Singapore, Oman, United Arab Emirates, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and Kazakhstan.

Dr David Pilsbury, Deputy Vice Chancellor for International Development opened the symposium with an overview of Trans National Education (TNE) and Comprehensive Experiential Internationalisation. Delegates had the opportunity to attend various workshops including:
- Online International Learning (OIL)
- Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IoC)
- Marketing and Recruitment in a competitive environment
- How to work together for success
- Quality Assurance embedding in our processes
There was also an exclusive introduction to the Collaboration Support Team from the Academic Partnership Unit (APU), along with a specialist administrative session aimed at making collaboration run effortlessly.
Jolanta, Head of the Registrar of Lazarski University said:
“Taking part in the workshop run by APU was a good opportunity to exchange know-how and best practices. I believe it will help to make our cooperation run even more smoothly than so far.”
The symposium was drawn to a formal close with an evening meal at the beautiful Coombe Abbey Hotel and Country Park.
