Summer Schools High on the Agenda in Indonesia

Centre for Global Engagement (CGE) was successfully selected following a call from The British Council and the Indonesian  Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education to promote the benefits of mobility and Summer Schools. Internationalisation is a key area for  global recognition. Universities are striving to become world class and student mobility and Summer Schools are an essential part of internationalisation development.

Elizabeth Mawson the Interim Director for CGE delivered an interactive  work shop held  at the Universitas Sriwijaya in Palembang,  showcasing Coventry University and sharing good practice with delegates.   The work shop was attended by International Offices from 17 Indonesian institutions, this was the third event in the Higher Education Workshop Series entitled “Developing Grade A Academic Summer Schools.”

Elizabeth reflected  “Feedback from the event was excellent. The participants were very receptive to us, many mentioned that they found it inspiring to gain practical insight into internationalisation  -the Coventry Way. Having interactions like this  provides a positive platform to develop new opportunities for partnerships and raise our profile further, it was a real pleasure to take part in this initiative.”
