How to make the most out of your time at Coventry University

As a fresher at Coventry University it may seem like a long time until you will be graduating, although you will soon come to realise that the years spent at the University pass by in an instance! Here are some tips on how to make the most out of your time at Coventry University:

Attend the lectures

That’s where everything is explained about your course and where you can meet people to work with! This is definitely the place where you can go to get all your course questions answered.

Join a society, sports club or volunteer
Deciding to volunteer or joining a society of sports club is a great way to meet people outside of your course; people can prove a useful resource in your years to come!

Regularly check Moodle

Apart from a lot of information about your modules, Moodle will help you to stay in touch with what is happening within your faculty and around the University.

Check the Student Portal

It has a lot of useful information and it will also keep you posted with the latest student vacancies and volunteering opportunities.

Use the resources

Coventry University has a lot to offer students. As well as the library, each faculty has its own profile-based resources, such as computers with relevant software, practice rooms you can pre-book, and equipment and tools relevant to your course. Ask one of your tutors about the resources available and be creative with the resources you already have!

Use the services

The Centre for Academic Writing, The Careers and Employability services, The Institute of Applied Entrepreneurship and The Medical Centre – they are all there to help you through your student journey and give you valuable knowledge that will help you during your studying and after!
