Top tips for Pre-sessional English

My name is Yan Jin and I recently completed my Pre-sessional English course at Coventry University London. I am excited to start my main course soon, and would like to share my top tips for making the most out of a Pre-sessional English course for anyone considering joining one.

First of all, don’t be afraid to talk with people from other countries, especially your classmates and tutors. Speaking is the best way to gain confidence in English.

Secondly, Expose yourself to as much English as possible. Free newspapers are widely available in London and can be a great way to improve your reading skills.

Thirdly, try to interact with and make friends with students from other countries. It could help both your speaking and listening, and could build your teamwork skills.

I think PSE is a practical course to help you gain the English skills you need to succeed. Don’t be afraid to ask your tutors questions – the tutors want their students to succeed and are very supportive.
