Foundation students Fashioning Fabric

Our BTEC Art and Design Foundation students are developing their work to create a portfolio ready for interviews and are looking at choosing their UCAS university choices. Our Foundation students have a blended approach of taught workshops, one to one tutorials and self directed study preparing them for their Undergraduate learning. Our students that have chosen to specialise in Fashion had an invention workshop and sewing machine induction re-purposing men shirts. Our students used experimental pin tucks, ruffles and pleating to sculpt and manipulate shirts into voluminous shapes and dramatic silhouettes.
