Portfolio preparation for applying to Coventry University

At Coventry University we want to encourage and develop young creatives to progress onto our Undergraduate courses. Today staff were at Ash Green School with years 12 and 13 giving them support on careers and developing a portfolio ready for interview. The 3 hour session included a presentation on how to prepare a portfolio as well as session on developing design for context and visualisations. The students from A level Photography, Art and Graphic design explored composition, colour and layout for fashion. All the students were allowed to develop their own personal response to paper manipulation and produced some amazing results. The students worked with curling, ripping pleating and layering papers to create their own catwalk like effect.
