Submissions Details

Please read these guidelines before submitting your work for publication on this website. Publishing decisions will be made by the student editing team for 2020-21.

How to submit to the website:

Please e-mail submissions to bsx305@coventry.ac.uk. Place your work within the email (no attachments), and provide a title for it. Also provide your name, the course you are studying and type CovWords web submission in the subject line.

What we’re looking for:

Mini Sagas (50 Words exactly)

Drabbles (100 words exactly)

Flash Fiction (up to 1000 words)

Short Stories (up to 5000 words)

Short Play/Screen Scripts (no more than 15 pages of double-spaced scripts)

Book Reviews (no more than 1500 words)

Author Reviews (no more than 1500 words)

Articles related to creative writing (no more than 1000 words)

Travel Articles (no more than 800 words)

Poetry (max. 30 lines)

Please be aware that explicit/consistent swearing and/or graphic sexual/violent imagery will drastically reduce your chances of being published on this website.
