CTMEE has facilitated numerous opportunities for teaching and training at each of the three partner institutions. For example: (1) Coventry University researchers have provided numerous training sessions for academics and civil society leaders on conflict transformation and peacebuilding in both Palestine and Turkey; (2) Arab American University researchers have delivered a series of seminars at Coventry University and Kadir Has University that explore conflict transformation in Palestine; and (3) Kadir Has University researchers have provided support and training for civil society organisations in Palestine.
The research conducted by CTMEE researchers is being disseminated through a series of events and avenues. CTMEE researchers have actively participated in a number of academic and practitioner conferences, including the yearly Conference on Human Security in Istanbul. An international conference is currently being planned for June 2014 (‘Conflict Transformation and Peacebuilding in Palestine: Progress, Challenges and Future Directions’) to be held at the Arab American University in Jenin. The overall aim of this international conference is to explore the current debates amongst researchers and practitioners regarding the pursuit of peace and justice in Palestine. The conference will bring together interdisciplinary academics, researchers, practitioners, and policy makers to enable dialogue, the exchange of knowledge, and a critical examination of conflict in Israel and Palestine.
CTMEE researchers are currently developing a series of papers for a variety of academic journals. A special issue of the Journal of Conflict Transformation and Security will publish CTMEE research in early 2015. Further, an edited book volume is currently being planned and compiled, which will also be published in early 2015.
