Students from the Global Leaders Programme (GLP) are heading to the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to gain an understanding of cultural differences and how business operates overseas. Students will be visiting Malaysian companies such as the Bursa Malaysia, BRAND’s Experience Center and the Royal Selangor, to find out first-hand how these companies thrive.
The GLP helps students gain cultural insight and the ability to develop a global mind set for future careers. The students will be visiting our esteemed partner Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TAR UC) and will attend classes on Malaysia culture and lifestyle, cross cultural studies and communication theories. Also students will exchange thoughts and experiences with Malaysian students on their different cultures to aid the learning experience.
TAR UC is one of the very few multi-campus institutions in Malaysia. It has its flagship campus in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur and branches in Penang, Perak, Johor, Pahang and Sabah. The institution has an average of 26,000 students and more than 170,000 alumni, many of whom are now serving as national leaders, entrepreneurs, prominent business personalities and professionals.
As part of the visit, students will be exploring the amazing attractions of Kuala Lumpur such as seeing the Batu Caves, exploring China Town, a trip to the National Mosque and experiencing the iconic KLCC Twin Towers.
