My Internship at Agroecology, Water and Resilience

Guest post by Elia Mallen, Intern at the Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience

I’m Elia Mallen, I am studying in La Rochelle France and I will complete my bachelor degree in Foreign Languages after my internship at CAWR. I worked with the Operational Team and mostly with Rosie Gibbard, the Senior Administrative Assistant in Marketing and Communications.

My main tasks were the creation of June Newsletter and the making of a video to promote Postgraduates Study.

The Newsletter consists in giving information about the recent activities and projects that are developed in CAWR. My work was to make it easy to read and reorganise all the articles researchers and PhD students sent me in a great design.

As for the video, the idea was to promote and explain the work that PhD student are currently doing at CAWR, and at the same time the video shows the great facilities and the beautiful garden CAWR has. I filmed the whole video as well as editing it.

Here’s the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VJ99oon6OpA

I also did some marketing and communications work such as promoting the seminar at CAWR, created a mailing list for the news subscribers, worked on CAWR website etc…
