Shelia Leddington-Wright and the Sports Therapy team have recently returned from the World Transplant Games in Argentina.
The team had been supporting the British squad with pre, post and inter-event treatment as well as dealing with any injuries or overuse problems. The British team won; 121 golds, 76 silvers and 48 bronzes, making a total of 245 medals. This year there were no serious injuries which in part has been attributed to the addition of the Sports Therapy team.
The Team were delighted to be greeted by two members of the Estates Distribution Team at Heathrowafter 20 hours of travelling. Pete and Craig from Estates helped them team with their luggage and return transport from the airport.
The Team would also like to share their thanks for the Centre for Global Engagement and the School of Health and Life Sciences for their financial support of the students.
