A range of international awards offered jointly by Coventry University (CU) and a specialist aviation education centre in the Middle East have received formal recognition within the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The bachelors and masters programmes delivered in partnership with the Emirates Aviation University are now recognised by the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) in the UAE.
Emirates Aviation University has also been acknowledged as the first recognised vocational education provider in the UAE. The announcement was made at an awards ceremony hosted by the NQA and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) on Wednesday 3 February at the NQA’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
All programmes offered by the Emirates Aviation University have been developed to ensure that students are equipped with the knowledge and skills that are highly demanded within the industry. Official recognition of these qualifications by the NQA now provides validation for both employers and graduates, furthering UAE’s status as an international centre for education and vocational training, and helping in the development of a nationally qualified workforce.
Dr Ahmad Al Ali, Vice Chancellor of Emirates Aviation University, said:
This will be highly perceived by our students and graduates who can now continue their education knowing that their bachelor or masters degrees will be fully attested and recognised across the UAE.
The NQA accreditation will enable us to expand our national reach and meet the changing needs of the aviation and education industries at a time when the demand for both is expanding globally.
