Students from the Global Leaders Programme (GLP) have recently travelled to India to explore the mystery, magic and thrilling culture of the country’s capital city. Students connected with our valued partner NBA Group of Institutions at their campus in New Delhi and undertook a variety of activities exploring international business, media in India and cross-cultural management.
The GLP helps students to go beyond the classroom to create the unique and gain cultural insight and skills to develop a global mind set for future careers. During the trip students had the opportunity to visit companies such as Hero Motors and India’s national broadcaster and one of the largest in the world Doordarshan, and put their broadcasting talents to the test during a practical anchoring session in the Jain TV studio.
Through this GLP trip students also visited the breath-taking Taj Mahal one of the modern wonders of the world and explored iconic sites in Delhi including India Gate, Lotus Temple, Lodhi Gardens and much more.
Amlan Ray, Dean of the NBA Group of Institutions said:
On behalf of NBA students and faculty, I take the opportunity of extending our heartiest thanks to you for the visit of Coventry students.
The students had been really great inside the classroom as well as during visit to Hero Motors, DD (National Broadcasting Channel of the India) and excursion to Agra! The presence of the Coventry team and their interaction with NBA students made our campus and studios livelier!
Many relevant and interesting questions came up for discussion from CU students which were much appreciated by our faculty and industry partners. The feedback from the students and faculty of Coventry were also very much encouraging and would enable us to design the programme even better in the future.
