Coventry University (CU) is proud to announce that two students studying BA (Hons) Fashion and Accessories Design at our partner institution Zhejiang University of Media and Communications (ZUMC) have been selected as finalists for an international competition in China. The International Fashion Industry Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, in Yiwu China, showcases designs from the most talented young designers in this discipline.
The finalists, Yurian and Grace, are testimony to the high standard of work being produced at ZUMC, especially as the students are in Year 2 at ZUMC, which is equivalent to Semester 2 of Year 1 at CU.
Currently, there are 71 students studying at ZUMC and the successful course is jointly taught by ZUMC and CU (30% in country teaching delivered by CU staff). The module Visual Communication is taught by Jiale Xu (Lecturer), Rebecca Ryder-Caddy (Senior Lecturer in Fashion and Product Development) and Ann Muirhead (Principal Lecturer in Fashion Design and Promotion at CU).
