CU staff from the Faculty of Business and Law (FBL) and the Academic Partnership Unit (APU) recently attended a British Council event in Beijing on ‘Transnational Education Programmes and Quality Assurance’. Dr Don Finlay (Associate Dean International, Faculty of Business and Law) was one of the invited key speakers at the event. Dr Finlay also chaired ‘Future Academic Developments’ and reported back to the plenary sessions at which the ‘Beijing Statement’ – the principles for quality assurance in joint UK-China transnational education – was agreed and distributed.
The workshop brought together leaders from prestigious educational institutions in the UK and China to discuss how to improve quality assurance processes for UK-China joint and dual award programmes and agree an action plan for 2016.
