With billions of pounds of public money being invested into UK research annually, institutions are now required to have infrastructure and processes in place for the effective management of research data. This ensures that, where appropriate, data can be made openly available to others and for digital research data to be suitably preserved for future use. Without active management of data, research is at risk of digital obsolescence which threatens the long-term value of research outcomes.
Shared Learning
Throughout the project all three partners have developed solutions to the issues faced when trying to implement Open Access (OA). Consequently, it was thought that it would be useful to collate the issues, solutions and lessons learnt to see if there are any similarities across the project partners.
