Dr David Phipps is a renowned expert in knowledge mobilisation (building links between academia and stakeholders to create real world benefits). David is the Executive Director of Research and Innovation Services at York University (Toronto) and voted the top Knowledge Broker in Canada.

David is visiting the UK as part of an Association of Commonwealth Universities Fellowship.  Whilst at Coventry he will be working on a collaborative project to develop knowledge broker competency standards.  During his visit he will be delivering this special guest talk on the Coventry University Global Researchers Programme (part of the Centre for Global Engagement).  The session will cover his journey through academia, with a particular emphasis on impact in research. David’s enthusiasm is infectious and his experience extensive, so please come and enjoy!
