#ISTP2015Coventry: What Our Attendees Had to Say

“Its not often you are spoilt for dialogical choice. Thanks to @GavinBSullivan and all the #istp2015coventry team. A great conference!”

The above is just one example of the fantastic praise that Coventry University has received following the ISTP conference held on campus from 26th-30th June. It marked the 30th anniversary of the psychology forum’s international conference, which has previously been held in cities including Berlin, Cape Town, Toronto and Sydney.

This year, hundreds of members of the ISTP came to Coventry for the five-day event. This included four days of intensive lectures, workshops and panel debates, all designed to stimulate debate within the field of psychology. Attendees had the choice from as many as six sessions running at any one time, and this volume of discussion was reflected in the commentary that took place on social media. Using the hashtag #ISTP2015Coventry, academics from around the globe took to Twitter to share their thoughts and photos over the course of the weekend.

Attendees’ highlights included talks from scholars such as Thomas Teo, Bianca Dreye and Jan De Vos, along with the impromptu after-dinner critical discussions. Praise was also heaped on Coventry University’s Gavin Sullivan, from the Identities and Resiliance in Communities and Oragnisations research group, who organised the event. Below are a collection of tweets that capture the incredibly positive response that ISTP 2015 received:
