Coming up this November, ‘Global Entrepreneurship Week’ is the world’s largest entrepreneur campaign – taking place in over 115 countries across the globe!
With events scheduled all week – this is your chance to learn exactly what it takes to run your own business, how to assess risks and the best ways to maximise profit.

‘Idea on a Beer Mat’ Competition – £250 prize money to be won!
Write your business or social enterprise idea on the back of one of our special beer mats and pop it into our special Beer Mat Post Boxes or hand it in to the Enterprise hub.

Motivation, Inspiration and Opportunity Recognition
10-11am Enterprise Hub
In groups, this fun, interactive and thought provoking workshop will help you develop business and social enterprise ideas. Information on how we can help you turn those ideas into reality will be provided.
Tuesday 18th
“Mentor on the Move” Social Enterprise Workshop
2-5pm Riley Lounge
Networking events for social entrepreneurs, social enterprises and anyone with an interest in the sector.
Drop-in sessions

If you have an idea or existing business/enterprise, drop-in to find out what support you are eligible for.
Wednesday 19th
‘Phoenix Den’ – Face our dragons!
10am – 4pm Enterprise Hub
There is up to £1,000 to be won, so if you have a well thought out business or social enterprise idea pitch it to the panel of experts. There are also a number of places on our start-up support programmes to be awarded; including the SPEED Plus Project. Limited places – book yours today!
Thursday 20th

Pitch your business ideas to win funding!
The Student Enterprise Fund provides access to loans of between £1,000 and £30,000 to Coventry University Staff, Students and Alumni who are starting or running their own business
Thursday 20th – Evening

6pm – late. Coventry Transport Museum.
The winners of this week’s competitions will be announced at the Awards Event. This is also an opportunity to recognise the achievements of students and graduates who have successfully started or grown their own businesses over the past year.
Our key-note speaker (TBA) will inspire and motivate you to act on your ideas.

Friday 21st
Know your funding opportunities!
10am – 4pm Enterprise Hub
Fancy working abroad? Erasmus are holding an information session from 10 to 11.30, in the CUSU shop, about a unique exchange experience with experienced entrepreneurs overseas. The Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme is a fully funded exchange that can last between 1-6 months.
Want to stay at in the UK? Tier 1 Scheme is for innovative or enterprising students who upon graduation wish to remain in the UK for 12 months to establish their business here. This awareness session runs from 11.30 to 1pm in the CUSU shop. It will provide information about the scheme and guidance that will help you prepare for your application.
