First things first, what is Confirmation? Well, UCAS Confirmation is the process where your university place is confirmed, if you meet the requirements of your conditional offer. It’s quite simple really!
Confirmation Hotline: 02476 790 790.
So what do you need to know?
Well, here’s the process broken down a little bit:
If you’re a conditional offer holder, then when the University receives confirmation of your grades through UCAS or from yourself directly, the University will check if you have met the conditions of your offer. If you have met or exceeded your offer conditions your place will then be confirmed.
If you narrowly miss the conditions of your offer, then the University will arrange for the course tutor of your chosen course to reassess all aspects of your application on an individual basis to see whether we can still offer you a place. If you have sent through your certificates in advance of results day, but have not met the conditions of your offer, then you may have to wait until August 13th for the University to be able to make a final decision on whether we can offer you a place.
If we are unable to offer you a place on your chosen course, we may then see if we are able to make you an offer of an alternative course, if appropriate.
If we are unable to offer you a place then your application will be assessed by your insurance choice, or if you do not have an insurance choice you may be released into clearing. If you have listed Coventry University as your Insurance choice, then we will assess your application once your Firm choice has rejected you.
Remember to stay calm and be patient, Confirmation can be a stressful time, but there are thousands of applications to consider during this process. The University works as fast as it can to ensure the most timely turn around for all students. If you are worried, you can call our Confirmation Hotline for an update on 02476 790 790.
See, it’s not all as big and scary as it sounds once your break it down! If you do have any more questions about the Confirmation process simply tweet us, we’ve got it COVered 😉
