On one of our October Open Days, we caught up with some of our awesome Ambassadors to get their thoughts on the events and the University as well. These are the people you need to be speaking to if you do attend an Open Day, they’re full of amazing information and student tips.
Esther
Course: Nutrition and Health, second year
Time as a Student Ambassador: 6 months
Favourite thing about an Open Day: Talking to prospective students and answering all of their questions.
Favourite thing about Coventry University: The societies!
Favourite thing about Coventry: The fact that the city’s quite small, but there’s still lots to do and loads of places to go.
Ade
Course: Aerospace Technology, second year
Time as a Student Ambassador: 18 months
Favourite thing about an Open Day: Being able to spill all of the information about the University and people seeing the excitement I have for studying here.
Favourite thing about Coventry University: The history and innovation around transport, aviation and aerospace.
Favourite thing about Coventry: It’s a nice city and everything’s in one place. It has almost two of every shop, including Poundland which is a student’s best friend!
Amar
Course: Geography and Natural Hazards, second year
Time as a Student Ambassador: 10 months
Favourite thing about an Open Day: Talking to students, you get to chat to them about your own experiences and it’s nice being part of the reason they might choose to study here.
Favourite thing about Coventry University: The fact my accommodation is so close.
Favourite thing about Coventry: Everything is local, you don’t have to spend money on transport or taxi’s.
Damilola
Course: Construction Management, second year
Time as a Student Ambassador: 10 months
Favourite thing about an Open Day: I like the fact you get to chat to lots of different students and I like that I get to be a voice for the University.
Favourite thing about Coventry University: I like the fact that everything is about a 10/15 minute walk away so you don’t have to get a bus, taxi or train. Everything is in walking distance which saves a lot of money.
Favourite thing about Coventry: The Cathedral, it’s absolutely beautiful, I love the Cathedral!

Course: Aerospace Technology, third year
Time as a Student Ambassador: 12 months
Favourite thing about an Open Day: Doing the campus tours and getting to meet the parents and students as well.
Favourite thing about Coventry and Coventry University: The city itself is around 25 minutes end to end and in-between there are lots of different places.
