Student Support Advisor
Did you know that CUC has its very own student support advisor? Laura Allen can be contacted regarding personal or academic issues via Laura.Allen@cuc.coventry.ac.uk or 02477659618. If Laura isn’t able to advise you directly, she will signpost you to the services relevant to you.

CUSU
Coventry University Students’ Union (CUSU) has a dedicated office on the ground floor of CUC. Students are welcome to approach CUSU staff on a variety of topics including financial, legal and accommodation advice. CUC students are also able to sign up to a GP at the Medical Centre based in the Hub (Jordan Well Entrance), who can provide a variety of health advice local to you.

Academic Writing Service
Are the pressures of assignments keeping you up at night? Then the Academic Writing Service can help. With drop in and bookable appointments available, staff can assist you with planning and structuring essays and reports, improving critical thinking and avoiding plagiarism by referencing correctly. Mental Health Resources
CUC has a number of support initiatives in place to aid students who are experiencing mental health issues.

Counsellor, Jindy Johal is available at CUC on Tuesdays between 2pm and 6pm and Mental Health Practitioner, Kate Downing is available on Fridays between 8:30am and 5pm. Appointments are available by contacting counsell.ss@coventry.ac.uk.

CUC students also have access to The Big White Wall online community where help is available for stress, anxiety and depression. To take advantage of these services, you will need to sign up with your CUC email address online at www.bigwhitewall.com.

Spirituality
Students of all faiths are invited to the Spirituality and Faith Centre located in the Hub (Jordan Well entrance), where there is a multi-faith meeting room, chapel, Muslim prayer rooms (with ablution facilities), lounge, multi-faith library and kitchen. The centre provides a safe and welcoming environment to contemplate spiritual issues.

Muslim prayer rooms are located across the campus in the following areas:

  • Brother’s prayer room
    Charles Ward (CWB44)
  • Sister’s prayer room
    The Junction (Foundation Campus Basement)

For Friday/Jum’uah prayers specifically, students are invited to visit Priory Sports Hall at 12:10pm or 1:10pm, brothers and sisters welcome.
