Uni@Work is expanding – and we’re changing our name
Welcome to The Nationwide Apprenticeship University!
We’ve come a long way since the official launch of Uni@Work, Coventry University Group’s workplace learning programme, on 4 March 2016.
There has been an increasing demand from employers for Higher and Degree Apprenticeships in the workplace – a demand which is set to grow with the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy, starting from next week (6 April 2017).
Levy payers will be able to claim back their Levy to pay for training and assessment of apprentices, while non-Levy payers will receive up to 90% funding.
In January 2016, the first learners to undertake our Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship (CMDA) – developed in conjunction with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) – began their apprenticeships with Vaultex, one of the UK’s leading cash handling companies. Now in their second year, a 100% pass rate has been achieved to date.
In May this year 48 more apprentices are due to start CMDA programmes, with more apprenticeships in the pipeline.
To meet the demand for apprenticeships, we have expanded our offer. Employers can now choose from an enhanced range of Higher and Degree Apprenticeships, with tuition at our campuses around the country. Our Learning and Development Partners, all experienced industry professionals, can also still deliver training on your premises if you wish.

As well as an academic qualification, Coventry University apprentices also gain professional accreditation and membership of bodies such as the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx) and Association for Project Management (APM).
