Coventry University recently had a very special visitor in the form of Daniel Simon.
Daniel, the concept designer and automotive futurist, is best known for his designs in movies such as Tron: Legacy, Captain America, Prometheus directed by Ridley Scott, Oblivion starring Tom Cruise, and his books Cosmic Motors and Timeless racer.
He dropped into Coventry University’s School of Art and Design to give an informal lecture about his experiences and discuss his work, not to mention impart his highly valuable advice and wisdom to our students about their own individual degree projects.
Daniel’s dedication and patience to the visit was impeccable, and he stayed until 10:00pm to look at students clay models and poster designs, and was willing to sign books/laptops/phones (his signature on a MacBook is a design in itself)
The Daniel Simon mania was EPIC; a packed out lecture theatre (even during the middle of the Easter holiday), and lots of very satisfied students. Our sincere thanks go out to Daniel for being such an awesome guy . We salute you sir! 🙂
