The boy awoke as the world seemed to tip beneath him. His pale head thumped, aching still. It was a miracle he survived, falling into a seemingly bottomless cave, what lay in front of the boy sent shivers down his spine, his blood froze. His eyes narrowed to adjust to the light from the shadows, a creature emerged, long slender legs protruding from a half-mangled torso. It was a sight, it almost wasn’t human. Its eyes opened revealing dark, endless pits.
“Well, well, well, you’re finally here” it croaked through the cave.
Though petrified, the boy managed to shudder, “who’s there?” Sweat poured off his forehead, his heart pounding from his chest.
