Travellers + design details

The purpose of the trip was to observe and analyse design details in urban transport past and present. Students compared storage affordances, safety features and access/transfer solutions across transportation modes and interrogated their suitability for different users.

It is important for designers to leave the studio from time to time – to experience, to empathise, to better understand design problems in order to develop informed and intelligent solutions.
