Hi, I’m Sandip, a Sales and Marketing Student at Coventry University, and in June I had the opportunity to join the Linguae Mundi Tutor Training Programme.

You may think, what does a marketing student have to do with teaching languages? Well, I always had a passion for foreign languages and the idea of teaching my native language was compelling to me and worth a try. Moreover, I believe that if you have a passion for something, you will excel at it!

At the beginning of the course I had no idea of what I could expect from the training and my initial thoughts were, that it would be like a lecture. However, from the very first day I realised that the training did not have anything to do with lectures, but it was something completely different, interesting and engaging. We were a nice group of trainees and easily got along with each other. Our training sessions were enjoyable, yet informative and gave us hands-on experience of teaching. Indeed, at the end of the course, not only did we have a knowledge of teaching methods but we were able to effectively use them thanks to the various teaching opportunities we had during the training.

Moreover, what made the experience remarkable was the friendliness of the Linguae Mundi Staff who made us feel comfortable and helped us to get the most out of this opportunity.

My advice to those of you have a passion for language and culture is, no matter what you are studying or doing, join this course and start this amazing adventure with Linguae Mundi. This experience will change you on a professional and personal level and will broaden your cultural horizons. So, why not give it a go?
