Did you know today is International Day of Happiness? Well even if you did, I bet you didn’t know that the United Nations are behind it. Back in 2012 these clever folk agreed that happiness should be a fundamental human goal, and that we should all observe International Day of Happiness on the 20th of March each year to promote it. So… here we are, celebrating it!
But what makes people happy? And what does happiness even mean? Well, UnCOVered caught up with some of you to find out, student to student!

What makes you happy….
On campus? Freebies and music at freshers fairs!
In lectures? Beanbags in seminars! And coffee of course.
When you’re revising? Colour coding notes, Spotify revision playlists, and group revision sessions on the hill.
When you’re socialising? Going to new places, walking, road trips, nachos and beer.
In Coventry? The funny music man that sings Elvis constantly in the city centre.
What’s made you happiest since you’ve been here? Planning a month long placement to Fiji in summer!

On campus? Grabbing a coffee and chilling out in TheHub.
In lectures? Learning about the practical applications of economics.
When you’re revising? Knowing that it’ll be over soon!
When you’re socialising? Playing games, talking and helping out with the financial trading society.
In Coventry? The market! I’m a bit of a foodie so it’s great to see all the different food on offer.
